Meet Lightning. She has had sparks fly through her little life. You see, she was born in someone’s home, surrendered to a humane society, adopted, given to a friend, surrendered to a SPCA, adopted and then surrendered when she needed to be admitted to a hospital for a life saving stay. And she is still just a baby….
In her last home, a child put a rubber band around her neck like you see at the end of braids. They couldn’t understand why she couldn’t breathe and they took her to a hospital and they could not afford treatment where she had to stay on oxygen for over a week. She was sent to us with ulcers in her esophagus, no voice and having a hard time eating. Luckily she had excellent care and with soft food, antibiotics, and pain meds, she has recovered.
She is the sweetest kitten! She gets along with other cats and doesn’t seem to mind dogs. She is snuggly and playful and super soft!
She will be making her debut at the International Cat Show in the I-X Center on October 11 and 12th. If you are interested in meeting her, you could fill out an adoption application to place on file with us to make your adoption a speedy process.

More about this rescue
The Euclid Beach Cat Project is a 501(c)(3), non profit rescue group. We take in, socialize, vet and adopt out cats and kittens, as well as trap-neuter-return (TNR) and manage feral colonies. There are so many homeless, abandoned and vulnerable cats and kittens needing homes, medical care and to be spayed/neutered. We try to help as many cats find a home as we can. If they are feral, we practice TNR and make sure either a caregiver or someone with this rescue continues to provide for them.
