My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Ernie is in a foster home searching for his forever family! If you are interested in meeting him, copy, paste, and complete the link below. This will be sent to the foster family for follow-up: https://greenvillefosterteam.tiny.us/meetyourmatch
. You can also call or text the Lifesaving Team at 864-467-3985.

Ernie is a super-sweet, cuddly, goofy boy who loves people and wants nothing more than to be your little shadow. He’s friendly with new people, playful with other dogs, and is doing wonderfully with the cats in his foster home. Ernie is crate trained, learning housetraining, and settling into routine beautifully. He pulls strongly on leash and can get a bit too excited at times, but he listens well, is eager to please, and absolutely thrives with affection and structure. If you’re looking for a lovable snuggle buddy who also enjoys exploring the world, Ernie is your guy!

—Best suited for: Homes with or without other pets; apartment or house
—Training: crate trained, housetraining improving daily; responds well to redirection, learning "lay down"
—Alone time: Whines for a few minutes, then settles; relaxes well in his crate
—Leash manners: Very strong puller; needs continued leash training
—Energy level: Medium—playful and curious, but settles easily and loves downtime
—Personality: Affectionate, gentle, snuggly, curious, goofy, enthusiastic, chill, quirky, clingy/“velcro dog”
—Favorite activities: Cuddling with his humans, exploring on walks, hanging out with dog friends
—Fun facts: Sweet as can be, listens well, loves human time, does great reading other animals’ energy, enjoys sharing space

Adoption includes vaccines, deworming, flea treatment, microchip, heartworm test, and spay/neuter.
