Penny is a BIG dog trapped in a small dog body and we're looking for a specific person for her. She is an absolutely wonderful and fun dog who has completed training with Unleashed Freedom K9 Academy and now needs someone who is experienced, confident, and ready to maintain the structure she thrives under:
-Someone who will be firm and consistent
-Someone comfortable using an e-collar
-Someone willing to meet and work with Penny a couple of times before she transitions into their home to help set expectations and ensure a smooth start for everyone (we'll connect you with our trainer directly!)
And here's the fun stuff about Penny!
-35 lb Terrier Mix with a touch of diva
-3 yrs old
-Fantastic with other dogs (and cats!) who loves to keep up with the big guys
-Smart, energetic, confident, and loving
-House-trained
-Loves toys (chew toys are her fave!)
-Her current foster reports she is doing amazing in a home environment; stays busy with toys then is the sweetest cuddle buddy for some relaxing.
Child-free home required: Penny does well out in public interacting with children, but living with a child full-time is different than these interactions.
This will be a Foster-to-Adopt scenario; the foster period is free! (We cover costs like food, supplies, and vet care.) Then if ready for adoption, her adoption fee is $250. If you're the kind of person who loves a dog with personality and tons of potential, Penny just might be your perfect match!
