All dogs listed here are available for adoption from Yorkie Rescue Houston. Our goal is to ensure our rescued pets go to their forever home and never end up back in the system. To that end, an application is required on all potential adopters. Our adoption fee varies by dog. We accept electronic funds via VENMO or Zelle, or cash only.

Puppies too young to be spayed/neutered are available for Foster-to-Adopt only. A FTA contract is required.
This boy was surrendered by his family due to 'moving'.
looks like they took him in as a street stray, and never took him to the vet.
This boy is HIGH-ENERGY! (and needy)
He's been in the loving care of his foster mom and dad and is (mostly) potty-trained. Switch is 'needy' and loves to be with his people. His high energy and clingy nature makes him better suited for a home with a full time stay-at-home parent. and some kids who will play with him.
Switch should go to a home that has a fenced yard to help release some of his energy. Daily walks are a must.
Can you give switch the home he deserves?

Immediately upon receipt of your application, an auto-response email is sent. If you didn't get it, check SPAM. VET RECORDS ARE REQUIRED.
Home Check
You must send VET RECORDS. Home visits are required for puppies and first time pet owners
Meet the Pet
The whole family, including current pets must attend any Meet & Greet.
Sign Adoption Contract
All adoptions require a contract. You must promise to never rehome the pet. This is a lifetime commitment
