Approximate date of birth: 03/15/2023 | Hello I am Lucille! I am super friendly and love getting pets from new people! Do you love cuddling? Because I do, a lot! I also like to purr aggressively and have a scratchy meow. And it's a good thing my coat is so soft because I am a Snuggle bug! I like sleeping underneath pillows and cat beds. I was abandoned in a well-managed TNR colony where a really nice rescuer could tell I was always meant for the indoor life. The streets are lacking in the finer things in life like air conditioning, cat trees, cuddles and delicious, delectable wet food. I am FELV positive so I can only live with other cats that are also positive. | Cats: Loves cats and requires a companion if home alone for a long time. | Dogs: Unknown. | Kids: Unknown, but optimistic.| Health information: All cats and kittens are spayed and neutered, preventatively dewormed, and microchipped. Submit Application

2.
Meet the Pet

Once approved, a meet 'n' greet will be scheduled.

3.
Sign Adoption Contract

If the meet 'n' greet is a match, the contract will be completed and adoption fee will need to be remitted.

Additional adoption info

We will adopt to out of state adopters but we do NOT ship animals under any conditions. You must come to us in person to meet the animal and make sure it is a mutual match. We have had many adopters come from the states around us and drive or fly with their new family member back.

We also have a small satellite operation in San Diego with adoption events on select Saturdays at the PetSmart Escondido store.

Saving One Life is a completely foster based, volunteer run, never kill rescue. Our motto is that although we can't save the world, it makes a world of difference to the ones we do save.

If you find a litter of kittens or your cat accidentally got pregnant - please contact us if you are able to foster them at intake@savingonelife.org. We cannot take in more animals without foster homes. All supplies and vet care will be taken care of - all you have to do is open your home and heart to them until they can find homes of their own!

All of our adoptable animals are spayed/neutered, vaccinated, tested for felv/fiv (Cats), dewormed, and microchipped. Adoption fees range depending on the animal's age and breed. All adoption fees assist other animals in our care - we do not have any paid employees. We are a completely never kill group that provides sanctuary to any "unadoptable" animals that come into our care including hospice care.
