For inquiries email chris@compactcaninerescue.org Fee: $400 Location: Edenton, NC Meet Heidi: A Spunky Little Lady Heidi is a gentle soul who comes to us from Pennsylvania. For her entire life, she lived with one devoted owner. Sadly, due to her owner's passing, Heidi suddenly found herself alone. Thankfully, her caring groomer had previously agreed to assist Heidi if ever needed. When the time came, her groomer connected with our rescue, and now we are committed to helping Heidi find the retirement she truly deservesin a loving, supportive home. At 13 years old, Heidi faces some of the challenges that come with age, such as arthritis and other age-related concerns. Despite these issues, she remains a sweet and affectionate little lady who deserves the very best in life. Heidi currently takes medication to manage her arthritis and anxiety. Understandably, she is confused by all the recent changes in her life, but with time and patience, she will adapt to a new routine and environment. Now, our goal is to find Heidi a loving place to retirea home where she can spend her golden years surrounded by comfort and care. Lets work together to ensure that this wonderful little lady enjoys the happiness and peace she deserves. Please follow us on social media for the most up to date photos and information. More about this rescue
The founding members of our rescue are dog lovers. Especially, small dogs! When we saw the need to help so many small dogs of various breeds and mixes, we collaborated to form a non-breed-specific rescue to help as many small dogs as possible. Our mission is to help dogs who weigh up to 20 pounds.
Adoption is not first come first served. We match our dogs to potential owners to ensure the best outcomes for all involved! Our philosophy is: Rescue - Rehabilitate - Rejoice!
Our mission statement is as follows:
Compact Canine Rescue is a network of volunteers committed to rehabilitating small dogs and rehoming them with forever families on the east coast of the United States. We are passionate about promoting responsible pet parenting and educating the public on what makes dogs healthy and happy.
