Pugsley is a little guy with a lot of big feelings! Sometimes the world is a scary place, but not when you have canine friends to show you the way. We highly suggest Pugsley go to a home with one or more other dogs. While temporarily in a home setting, Pugsley really only lightened up when he was able to interact with the cat. He has made small bonds with staff and volunteers, but primarily through using a buddy as a guide.
We suspect Pugsley is mixed with Bluetick Coonhound due to those gorgeous markings, but his size indicates more beagle. He is almost 10 months old and ready for somebody to guide him through his last section of the puppy phase.
Pugsley loves to curl up in his safe space, making a little heap out of his blankets. If Pugsley deems a blanket unsuitable, he will throw it off of his bed, onto the floor! Though he is still young, he sure knows what he wants.
With patience, structure, and his perfect match, Pugsley would be a stellar little companion. He loves to be held. If you have open arms for Pugsley, submit an application on our website today!

The majority of our dogs are in the Camp K-9 training program located in the Kentucky State Reformatory. You can meet one of them by appointment after filling out an application on our website.
There are also cats and sometimes dogs located at our office at 2601 Interior Way in LaGrange. They can be visited during office hours.

The Humane Society of Oldham County is the areas first no kill animal rescue. We run a top notch spay\neuter clinic, rescue and find loving homes for homeless or abused animals in our area, monitor and care for feral cat colonies including TNR. We also help the community through our many programs including Kentucky State Reformatory(KSR) Camp K9 where dogs are housed with professionally trained, monitored, nonviolent inmates to socialize and train our adoptable dogs to be highly adoptable and have good basic skills. A wonderful program for the inmates and our dogs.
