Hey, I'm Tanzanite! I'm a black and white boy kitty of 5 months, and I am a very good boy. I like to be pet if you go slowly with me. I'm sharing a cage with my brothers, Turquoise, Garnet, and Peridot. Not to make them feel jealous or anything, but did you know I'm named after a really rare gem? It's only found in this one country in Africa, just like I can only be found in this one shelter in Carroll county! So come see what a diamond in the rough I am!

The adoption fee covers the following: spay or neuter surgery; one-year rabies vaccine; feline or canine distemper vaccine; heartworm test (dogs) or combo (fiv/felv) test (cats); deworming; and microchip.

The hours of operation are: Monday through Wednesday 12:30 pm till 4:30 pm; Thursday 12:30 pm till 6:00 pm; Friday 12:30 pm till 4:30 pm; Saturday 9:00 am till 4:00 pm. The Carroll County Animal Shelter will be closed the last Friday of every month for deep cleaning, staff training, and animal enrichment.
