Meet Winnie the Pooh!

Meet Winnie the Pooh, a gentle German Shepherd mix who recently came to us as a stray. True to her name, this sweet girl has the kindest disposition and just wants to be loved.

Winnie is looking for a home where she can feel safe, settle in, and begin her journey to a brighter future. With her soft heart and calm nature, she’ll be a wonderful companion to have by your side.

If you have a little extra room in your home (and heart), Winnie the Pooh would love nothing more than a cozy spot and her forever family.

All of our dogs are examined by a veterinarian, given age-appropriate vaccinations, dewormed, microchipped, spayed or neutered, heartworm tested and treated, if necessary.

We require all adopters to complete an application and pay an adoption fee. Adoption fees vary, but are usually $160 to $185. We may do a vet reference check and/or home visit.

It Takes A Village Rescue, Inc. is a non-kill 501(c)(3) rescue dedicated to doing what it takes to find loving homes for stray, abandoned, and surrendered animals, and to keep these animals safe and free from further suffering. Our mission is "To work as one in helping homeless animals irrespective of breed, location or circumstance." By working with committed volunteers, foster homes, veterinarians and partner rescues or shelters, we are able to rescue countless animals every year and provide them with loving temporary care as we work to find them well-matched forever homes. Although we do not discriminate based on breed, size or color, we have a particular interest in bully breeds, special medical needs, senior dogs, black dogs and other hard-to-place animals.
