Take the Pet Home
This helps Loved At Last Dog Rescue with pet care costs.
My name is Hero, and I’m ready for my first true family, a warm bed, and the simple joy of being someone’s dog.
Here is a little info about me:
Breed: Mix Saluki Labrador
Age: 1 year
Gender: Male
Weight: 28 kg
Height: 22 inches
Curent location: Middle East
Energy Level: Low to moderate
I get along with: Dogs and kids Video - Hero with kids . Cats are unknown but with a slow introduction it could work given my personality
Fears: None observed so far. Like any rescue, I’ll need patience and consistency as I transition to home life—new noises and routines can take a little time.
Leash skills: Some but with time my confidence will build with your help.
House trained: Yes
Health notes: Tri-paw (front leg amputation from a puppyhood accident). I manage beautifully—shorter, steady walks and good traction at home help me feel my best.
I have been neutered, vaccinated, and microchipped.
Adoption fee: $750.00 CAD + taxes. While our rescuers always seek a flight without a charge, there is the possibility of a passenger fee, not to exceed $300.
Highlight(s): A resilient three-legged cuddle bug, ready to bring joy and everyday courage to your home.
About me - I’m a soft-eyed, three-legged sweetheart who believes every pat is a love letter. If you’re looking for a gentle companion with a brave little heart, I’m your boy. I’m affectionate, calm, trusting, and easygoing. I walk nicely on leash, ride politely in the car, and I’m respectful with my things—no chewing, no toy or food guarding, and I’m not a big barker. I love people (women, men, and kids) and I do well with other dogs. I’m the kind of buddy who settles near your feet and checks in with soft eyes: “Need a cuddle?”
Ideal home - I’d thrive with a loving family that enjoys gentle walks and cozy evenings. Because I’m a tri-paw, a home with minimal stairs (or a willingness to help me with ramps and rest breaks) would be ideal. I’m wonderfully adaptable—house, apartment, or condo—so long as I have daily strolls, mental enrichment, and lots of love. Another friendly dog would be a bonus, but I’m just as happy being your one-and-only.
My story - As a tiny pup, I was found by the roadside in the Middle East after being struck by a car. My front leg couldn’t be saved, so it was safely amputated—and I learned to move through the world with grace on three. I’ve lived in a shelter ever since, growing up with the sound of kennels instead of the rhythm of a home. Still, I kept my tail wag and my hope bright.

Every dog is an individual and can act differently in different situations based on the person adopting them and the environment in which they live.

Take the Pet Home
As adopters of overseas dogs will be taking their dog home from the airport, they have a couple of weeks to decide if the dog is a fit.
