My name is Cannoli!

Meet Cannoli, a beautiful petite black and tan piebald female about five years old. Cannoli is an active girl who loves other dogs and plays hard with the other dachshunds in her foster home. She grew up as an only dog and is finally learning to play and chase around the yard to her heart's content. Cannoli was surrendered when she started to feel teritorial in her own home and exhibited some nippy behavior with the husband and young teenaged son. She is a sweet girl, but it takes her a while to trust and we consider her slow to warm up to strangers. Once she knows you, she will stick like glue to her person.  

We don't recommend a home with children; we feel that she has been through a lot in her short life that probably an adult only home is best. Other dogs are a plus and help her settle in and adjust. Once she knows and trusts you she only wants to please!   She will require patience and understanding but she will make a wonderful lifelong companion.  Consider giving her a chance.
