Wally and his sister Marta were rescued as kittens from my nearby Walmart. They were born to a feral mother cat and living in the outside garden center. Shoppers felt sorry for the kittens and fed them canned food under the plant displays. When I set traps for the kittens, I wasn’t sure they could be tamed, as they were approximately 3 months old at the time. But I worked with them over several weeks and even sent the to live temporarily with a family in order to socialize them to other people besides me. Wally came around beautifully.
He’s a very lovable boy that crawls right into your lap for loving. His sister, Marta (also available), remains shy. She is smaller than Wally and always seemed to regard Wally as her protector. Wally currently lives in a bedroom along with other adult foster cats who have access to an outdoor catio.
