My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet Mau Mau!
Mau Mau is an active 2 year old boy who came to us after his caretakers had to move and could not take him along. He has settled in well and has shown us he is a playful, energetic, always-on kind of cat who is ready to go!
Mau Mau has been around other cats here, but...he is a lot. He plays rough, pounces, and tends to overwhelm more sensitive cats. Because of that, he'd likely do best as the only cat, though a cat-friendly dog who enjoys a busy cat might be a possible match.
He is also a ravenous boy...food is one of his great passions. We've been working on mat training and stationing during his meal prep and is doing a great good learning the skill!
Mau Mau is friendly and social and would most likely do well in an active home. If you're looking for a fun cat with a big personality, he might be the cat for you.
With questions about Mau Mau, email cats@rispca.org.

Additional adoption info

Matchmaking is what we love to do. We do our very best to find the best fit for the pets awaiting adoption at the Rhode Island SPCA. The first step to adopting a dog from the Rhode Island SPCA is filling out an adoption application. If your application is selected, you will be contacted and asked if you would like to schedule a meet & greet. Because of the volume of applications we receive, sometimes we can only respond to the selected applicant. You are always welcome to contact us anytime about the status of your application at adoption@rispca.com.
