From foster: Susie is initially shy/timid until she earns your trusts. Once shes comfortable she will look for primary adult, cuddles, and shows love by licking your hand. Perfectly happy on doggie day bed, couch, or curled up with fav human.
Food: Blue buffalo life protection chicken and brown rice. Poop is firm and does not upset stomach. Needs a dental cleaning. Breath is still pretty pungent. We brush and she is occasionally interested in resident dog bones like (benebone). She will only eat soften or wet kibble.
Play: Not very interested in dog toys / play but enjoys her walks throughout the day very much. Likes exploring and is a very good leash walker. Needs to be watched so she does not eat poop. We had a few close calls outside. Very agile and climbs apartment stairs daily for walks with no problems.
Companion: Finds comfort in other dogs to lead the way and help build confidence. Or adult that is home most of the day.
Ok with children (13,8) but prefers adults. Potty trained in 4 days. Can hold it from 6p to 6a and sleeps in crate overnight. Not destructive with furniture.
Health: heart murmur, reverse sneezes, and pants at times. Our walks are relatively short but it's enough exercise for little feet. Perfect for apartment living.
