Meet Pepper!

Pepper was found wandering a neighbor and some nice ladies took her in and searched for her owners, but ended up not finding them. No microchip, collar, tag, nothing. Once her stray hold was completed, they brought her to us.

Boy is she cute AND sweet! She was loved at some point in her life as she knows basic commands (when treats are involved) and his house/pad/crate trained.

Pepper does get really excited (once she gets to know you) when you get home, she likes to jump and get kisses! lol She is an ACTIVE girl and definitely needs a fence for “zoomies” and would prefer another dog friend (unless her people are home most of the time).

She is great with most people and pets, however she will chase kitties if they are running around.

She is around a year old and is a perfect size! Not too little and not too big, weighing 17 pounds. She is spayed, updated on all shots, microchipped, heartworm negative, and on heartworm/flea/tick prevention.

The adoption fee is $200
Which covers spay/neuter, shots, microchip, heartworm test, grooming (if needed), deworming, flea/tick/heartworm prevention, and supplies while in our care. The pet MUST be kept on heartworm prevention all of their life.

*We do home checks (either in person or virtual) for each pet before approving an adoption. Home owners and those a fenced in yard are always given preference.*

The application is to be completed prior to meeting the pet(s) you are interested in adopting. If they are still on the page, they are still more than likely still available.

Once a pet is adopted from our rescue, they MUST be returned to us, if you cannot keep them. If you plan on not keeping them their whole lives, please do not apply.

Adoption fees vary based on what we have paid while in our care. The adoption fee is listed in each pets bio.

You must be willing to love and keep your pet FURever. If you can’t promise to do everything in your power to keep them, please don’t apply.

FURever FURkids Sanctuary & Rescue is a small home-based sanctuary and rescue for dogs (primarily) near the Chattanooga, TN area. All pets that come here, are fully vetted before being placed into loving homes. We do NOT have a public shelter. To meet our pets, you must have an approved application on file and we will bring them to your home, or meet in 1 of our few meeting spaces.

More about this rescue

Established in 2011, FURever FURkids Sanctuary & Rescue is a privately run rescue.

All of our sanctuary/rescue pets have come from situations such as being on death row at shelters, owners who can no longer keep them, or even rescued from heartbreaking situations.

Each rescued pet is kept in foster homes until a FURever home is found. If no home can be found, they become a sanctuary pet. Every pet is spayed/neutered (if of age), current on age appropriate vaccines, microchipped, and dogs are heartworm tested, (if the dog is over 6 months) prior to adoption.

The adoption process requires an adoption application. If the application looks good, we will contact your veterinarian for a reference (if applicable). If that checks out, we will schedule a home check (for the safety of our rescues). If local, we will come to your home. If you are not local, we will need several pictures and/or a video of your home/yard to complete the home check. Finally, if approved, you will fill out an adoption contract and pay the pets set adoption fee (which varies).

FURever FURkids Sanctuary & Rescue has adopted out hundreds of animals since we began. We have a professional working relationship as a rescue with many other area rescues, vets, shelters and spay/neuter clinics in the area.
