Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Sweet Sandy is about 6yrs old and she weighs 50lbs. Sandy is a happy, friendly girl that is overdue for her own forever home. She has been moved around quite a bit in the last few years. She is currently in boarding and here is what her caretakers have to say about her:
“Meet Sandy! This sweet and spunky ~50lb, six-year-old Shepherd mix is ready to find her forever home in the beautiful Pacific Northwest! Sandy is a wonderful dog, and has an adorably unique underbite smile!
Sandy is the perfect mix of playful and well-mannered. She has an energetic spirit and loves going on walks, hikes, and any outdoor adventures you’ll take her on. A big fan of water, she’ll happily splash around and play to her heart’s content. She walks well on a leash, seems to know some basic commands, and has a friendly, easygoing demeanor that makes her a joy to be around. Sandy has also done well with other dogs in our care!
Whether you’re hitting the trails or just enjoying time in the backyard, Sandy will be your loyal and lively sidekick. She’s ready to bring joy, fun, and plenty of tail wags to her new home.”
She has a wonderful temperament and loves meeting new people so lots of walks and social outings will be welcomed. She gets along with friendly, playful, polite, medium size dogs, too, so play dates would be great. She does not need another dog in the home. She plays too rough with small dogs and does not like cats so no small animals in the home, please. Sandy is a very quiet girl so with a little training she could be a great office dog companion. She is fully house and crate trained so she can stay home for a reasonable amount of hours. She is very wiggly and silly, so she may knock down young children so kids must be over 12yrs old. A 5ft or higher, securely fenced yard is best. For more information or to schedule a meet and greet, please contact Tamera at k9cabbie@gmail.com or Bernice at bernicebellamy@aol.com

Interested adopters should email k9cabbie@gmail.com to request an application. Once complete, the application can be returned via email and quickly reviewed. If approved, we then invite potential adopters to visit with one or more of the dogs that interest them. If the meet and greet goes well, we encourage a week long "trial adoption" to ensure a good match. During that week we communicate often and are available for support and guidance, via phone or email, 24/7.
Unless otherwise specified, K9 R&R adoption fees range from $350-$500 and include all vetting and microchip. We also provide ongoing training tips and help as needed, for the life of the dogs.
K9 R&R is a non-profit, volunteer based organization.

More about this rescue
K9 R&R rescues dogs from shelters and other various facilities across the nation, but focusing primarily on those throughout the west coast. In addition, we help re-home family pets of owners who can no longer care for them. K9 R&R assesses and works with every dog prior to adopting them out and continues to provide support to adopters for the entire life of the dog. K9 Rescue & Rehab was founded with the desire to provide a more thorough, inclusive, supportive approach to dog rescue and re-homing. When adopting a K9 R&R dog, you are not only adding a new family member, but are becoming part of an extended family that is always there to support you in hard times and celebrate with you in joyful ones.
