Meet Riot, a sleek 4-year-old black cat with a love for affection and plenty of personality. Riot will happily greet you by weaving around your legs, asking for pets and attention in his own endearing way.
What Riot really craves, though, is space. He’s not the type to stay cooped up—if he doesn’t have room to roam, he gets a little stir-crazy! While he doesn’t mind the other cats here at LPHS, he tends to keep to himself rather than playing with them. His dream home would be one that gives him the freedom to explore and stretch his legs, and he would especially love a catio where he could enjoy the sights, sounds, and fresh air of the outdoors safely.
If you’re searching for a companion who’s affectionate, independent, and full of life, Riot is ready to bring a little extra energy and love into your world.

Thank you for your interest in adopting a pet through the Laramie Peak Humane Society. LPHS strives to provide a hassle free adoption process that provides every adopter and potential pet with the best experience possible. If you are interested in adopting a pet, please submit a complete Adoption Application as soon as possible. Your application must include 2-3 references, and your veterinarians contact information. Once received, your application will be processed, references will be checked, and a home visit (excluding cats) will be scheduled at your earliest convenience.
Please note: The adoption process consists of three steps:
1. Complete Adoption Application Submitted
2. References Checked
3. Successful Home Visit completed (excluding cats)
The adoption process takes 24-72 hours to complete. Applications continue to be accepted, and an animal remains “available” until an adoption is finalized. Animals are placed after all 3 steps are successfully completed.
It is our policy to spay or neuter any dog that is old enough for our vets to alter.
Dog adoption fees are $125 for puppies (under 1), $100 for adults, and $30 for Senior dogs (8+). Dogs come microchipped, vaccinated, and altered.
