My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

When Sandman first came to us, he was dealing with a tough case of mange. Thanks to lots of love and care, he’s now completely healthy, his coat is looking great, and he’s ready to find a forever home to call his own!

Sandman has a calm, thoughtful nature and appreciates a gentle approach to new surroundings. Once he feels comfortable, he absolutely adores pets and cheek scratches—and he’ll happily soak up all the affection you’re willing to give.

He would do best in a quiet home where he can ease into his new environment at his own pace. With patience and kindness, Sandman will blossom into a loyal, loving companion who’s always ready for snuggles and quiet moments together.

If you're looking for a sweet, soft-hearted friend, come meet Sandman—you might just be the dream he's been waiting for.

Go meet their pets

Due to COVID-19, we are not currently holding in-person adoption events. Most of our cats are in foster homes and we are doing virtual meet-and-greets with them.

We also have adoptable cats at our two partner cat cafes – CatCafe Lounge (https://www.catcafelounge.com/) in West Los Angeles and Cat Therapy (https://www.cattherapysb.com/) in Santa Barbara. You can make a reservation on their websites, or we can arrange a meeting by appointment once you have filled-out our application and spoken to our team.

More about this rescue

Stray Cat Alliance is a non-profit organization focused on educating and empowering communities to advocate for every cat’s right to be safe, healthy, and valued. Everyday, our team works to save the helpless lives of kittens and cats by providing: spay/neuter, trap-neuter-return (TNR), adoptions, wellness care, medical care, and community shelter support. Our goals are to:

-Eradicate cruelty toward cats through advocacy, rescue, and education.
-Find loving forever homes for cats and kittens taken in through all of our programs.
-Help shelters transform from executioners to safe havens for cats by implementing SCA’s life-saving policies and procedures.
-Educate the community about the plight of free‐roaming cats and empower people to take action to stop population growth through spay and neuter.
-Create and sustain a No-Kill Nation by mentoring other communities to become no-kill through our grassroots programs.

Stray Cat Alliance envisions a time when all cats are valued and safe whether in homes or communities, and when shelters serve as temporary safe havens.
