My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.

Meet Roxy!

Roxy’s journey hasn’t been an easy one, but her heart is pure gold. She came into the shelter as a stray with her puppy, Sully. Life in the noisy, stressful shelter was terrifying for her — she would press herself against the wall, trying to disappear from the chaos, while little Sully bravely stood between her legs as her tiny protector and emotional support.

Thankfully, we were able to bring Roxy into our rescue and place her in a loving foster home. At first, she hid behind a chair — her safe spot — but with patience, time, and love, she’s begun to blossom. After six weeks in foster care, Roxy has shown us just how sweet and gentle she truly is.

While she’s still shy at first, she warms up quickly — especially when other dogs are around. Roxy absolutely adores other dogs, big or small, male or female. They give her comfort and confidence. Now that Sully has found his forever home, it’s Roxy’s turn to find hers.

Roxy would do best in a quieter home with someone who understands that trust takes time. Once she bonds with you, she’ll be your loyal, devoted companion for life. Watching her come out of her shell — tail wagging, eyes bright, ready to play — is the most heartwarming sight.

Could you be the one to help this beautiful soul continue her journey of healing and happiness?

Their adoption process

Additional adoption info

The first step in the adoption process is to have an application filled out so we can better help match a dog to a home and family. You can fill out the application on our website at www.azmastiffrescue.com
The second step is to do a phone interview or email so we can discuss our dogs and what type of home they would do best in.
The third step is to have the adopter meet our dogs and adopt after a home visit is done.

Please Go To www.AZMASTIFFRESCUE.COM to fillout the adoption application so a volunteer can call you.

We are dedicated to restoring the mastiffs to good health, and finding them loving, permanent homes. We encourage community involvement, which includes raising funds to support our cause, and educating on the rewards of responsible pet ownership, and the importance of spaying and neutering. We want to implement an outreach program targeting children, the next generation. We hope to instill our firm belief that companion animals play an immeasurable role in the betterment of our lives. In order to achieve these goals, we believe that collaboration with other organizations will help us meet our mission.

We are a small rescue that focuses on the Neapolitan and English Mastiff. Most of our dogs are in foster homes in Az. We are always looking for foster homes and people who can help with home visits as well.We have rescued mastiffs for about 10 plus yrs now and enjoy helping them get into forever loving homes.
