Copperfield has been through more than any dog ever should. When he arrived at our shelter, he was heartbreakingly thin—his body fragile, but his spirit still quietly flickering.
With a warm copper-and-white coat and eyes that speak volumes, Copperfield is shy, sweet, and sensitive. He’s a bit scared in the shelter, but give him just two gentle minutes… and he’ll be leaning in for affection, hopeful and trusting. He wants to believe people are kind—and he’s learning they are.
We don’t know his exact breed—maybe some hound, maybe some sporting dog—but what we do know is that Copperfield is ready for love. He’s already responding beautifully to medical care, gaining strength, and showing more of his soft personality every day.
He came from a loving, small community that couldn’t provide the care they knew he so desperately needed. Now he just needs one person—a foster, an adopter, a friend—to show him the life he’s always deserved.
