Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Nikko has been with us since March 15th and we can't figure out why. He is stunningly handsome, he is loving and craving human interaction, he is dog social to the point of annoying, "can you play?, wanna play?, come play with me" while bowing and dancing about. Nikko loves Dogs!
He starts his day at 7am and his bedtime is 10pm. He loves to roll in the grass, play with unstuffed toys on his back holding them high above his head with his front limbs. He lets' out an "AROOOO" when he wants to get your attention and is an excellent sofa buddy for bingeing television.
He sleeps in his crate at night and when no one is home, we are mostly home, however, he prefers to keep watch of his people. He can be cautious with new folks, treats win him over every time and he has a silly side to him.
He is a toy gatherer; likes to take them out of the bin and find the toys no one has played with in ages. Hasn't learned to put them all back yet. He will open his crate door if unlocked and put himself inside to wait for his food bowl. He has figured out how to open the baby gates if not locked, "flip and slip" and you have access to the room. Very intelligent dog.
He went to basic obedience training, he knows, "sit, down, settle, stay, and comes when called. We have been working on going off leash to and from the house to vehicle.
He will need a high fenced yard, adult supervision, and lots of cuddle time when he asks if he can join on the sofa or help fold the laundry. He takes his job as a supervisor very seriously.
*Housetrained
*Crate trained, yes, not fond of it when left home alone unless it's in the bedroom where he sleeps at night.
*Up to date on core vaccines, rabies, neutered and microchipped.
*He eats like a small pony but burns it off and has a trim body frame with long legs that sometimes trip him up. He loves vegetables and fruit with his kibble meals.
*He is a clean dog and tolerates getting a bath pretty well, doesn’t mind being brushed.
