We got her as a rescue from a post on Nextdoor, her previous owner had moved into a smaller apartment and the other cats were bullying her, she was hiding under their kitchen cabinets all day. She is about 3 years old, actually very sweet and playful, but also has high anxiety, has been living in our house (no other cats) for nine months and is still skittish, will scurry away when we walk toward or by her, hesitant to eat if we are in the kitchen where her bowl is, etc.
We think she may do better with a female owner, we are two single males and wonder if she needs someone with more time to bring her around. The lady we got her from said she was the only person she'd let pick her up, and we haven't been granted that privilege so far. Just hoping for a better situation for her.
