My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet Osa - an athletic, playful, and sweet dog who's ready to be your one and only! Osa has become a favorite of our team because her heart is as big as her smile.

She loves leisurely walks, squeaky toys, and zooming around the yard. When she's done being fabulous, she'll curl up next to you for a movie marathon or nap like it's her full-time job. Osa has enjoyed casual interactions with other dogs, but would prefer being her adopter's only pet, where all the belly rubs, treats, and cozy couch spots are hers - and honestly, who can blame her?

She's already mastered the art of stealing hearts - Come meet Osa and find out why one dog can be all the love you'll ever need! She's a Golden Nugget! Sometimes the best things take time to find- she can't wait to dazzle you!

Adoption fees include the cost of spay/neuter and first vaccines, medical exam, and microchip.

How to Adopt from Foothills Animal Shelter:
Visit the Shelter or one of our offsite adoption partner locations to find a pet. Once you’ve decided on an animal, you should check with staff to see the status and history of the animal. At this time, you can fill out an adoption application and visit with the animal.

We recommend you bring all family members to the Shelter to meet with the animal before you consider adopting. If you are interested in adopting a dog, bring any household dogs to the Shelter to determine if it is a good match. Also, if you rent your home, please bring the pet policy in your lease or rental agreement and contact information for your landlord.

Once your application is reviewed, you can pay the adoption fees and take your new pet home. It may take some time for your new pet to adjust to its new environment. If you have questions or concerns after adopting, please contact us at 303-278-7575.

We are a true community resource that offers a broad variety of animal welfare programs and services. Low-cost spaying/neutering, vaccinations, microchipping and dog licensing are some of the services offered to the public.

Community, Adopt, Reunite and Educate (C.A.R.E.) are the four key principles of Foothills Animal Shelter.
