My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Chase is a year old, tri-colored, blue eyed male Siberian Husky. Backstory Chase’s life changed in an instant. After escaping his yard in Anne Arundel County, MD he came across a cat being walked by children. His Husky prey drive kicked in and it didn't end well for the cat. He was impounded under county law. But we welcomed Chase into our rescue program, and he's making the most of it. Who Chase Is Today Chase is a young, energetic, and deeply loving pup. He’s: - Completely housebroken and crate trained - Good on leash and enjoys multiple walks a day - Playful, silly, and a little mouthy when excited - A bit shy with new people but warms up quickly - Vocal at times (especially when the vacuum makes an appearance!) - Fine with humans around toys and treats—no resource guarding here He thrives on routine: He eats at 7am and 6pm, gets apple treats for good behavior, and a mix of long walks and short potty breaks throughout the day. He sleeps peacefully in his crate when left alone for 4–6 hours. Chase’s Dream Home Chase is looking for an active household with: - No cats (non-negotiable) - A secure fenced yard for zoomies and nature-watching - Humans who love fetch, tug, and long walks - A cozy spot by your feet when playtime’s done He’s curious about dogs and kids, so slow intros and thoughtful boundaries are key. But if you’re someone who believes in second chances, and who’s ready to meet a dog with a heart as big as his story—Chase is waiting. Chase is located in MD. He is neutered, microchipped, current on his vaccines and healthy. He cannot be adopted in Anne Arundel County. ~~Husky Education And Rescue Team is a foster based rescue. Our dogs are in our foster homes all up and down the east coast. We do not have a facility in which you can visit. We find this a huge benefit because we learn our dogs and are able to educate our adopters on what it’s like to have them live in your home. Part of our process, once pre-approved, is to speak with the foster for the dog you’re interested in. If you’re still interested in adopting from our rescue the first step is to complete our adoption application online at www.huskyrescueteam.org/apply If you have additional questions please email  info@huskyrescueteam.org

More about this rescue

We are a 501(c) (3) nonprofit animal rescue organization. Our organization saves, rehabilitates, and rehomes Siberian Huskies (and other breeds of dogs) who are abandoned and are in kill shelters. We provide medical and behavioral services and rehome them to compatible families. We do this through volunteer efforts. Most of the dogs in need will come from the Southern States where the shelter kill rate is higher. We have a network of foster homes along the East Coast, while our adoption locations can be found in Maryland and New Jersey.
