My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet King 👑
King may have a regal name, but this 10-year-old gentleman is as humble and soft-hearted as they come. A little shy at first, King prefers quiet corners and calm voices, but once he feels safe, his sweet nature begins to shine. He’ll reward your patience with gentle head bumps, slow blinks, and the softest purrs you've ever heard. King is the kind of companion who doesn't ask for much—just a cozy spot to curl up in and someone kind to share his world with. He’s a quiet soul with a big heart, ready to rule your home with love (and maybe a nap throne or two). Give him time, give him love, and King will be your loyal, fluffy friend forever.

More about this shelter

Peggy Adams Animal Rescue League is a limited-admission humane society and provides services to over 34,000 cats, dogs, puppies, and kittens each year. Operating continuously since 1925, we have been positively impacting animal welfare and addressing overpopulation in Palm Beach County through a variety of services.

Our Vision is to create a community where 100% of the adoptable animals find loving homes and no animals will be euthanized because of pet overpopulation.

Peggy Adams Animal Rescue League, Humane Society of the Palm Beaches, is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization and does not receive funding from city, county, state, or federal government, or local organizations with similar names. We rely solely on the generosity of individuals, foundations, and corporations to provide quality programs and services to the community. Your donations directly support the services and programs in place to help animals in need.

Our mission is to provide shelter to lost, homeless and unwanted animals; to furnish medical and other services for the care of companion animals; to care for, protect, and find quality homes for homeless and neglected animals; to advocate animal welfare, community involvement, and education to further the bond between people and animals, for the mutual benefit of both.
