My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet Zelda, a 3ish year old shepherd mix! She has lots of energy and is such a happy girl! She was returned to us recently due to owner financial trouble, along with the tendency to nip at young kids as a warning she is uncomfortable, so kids 12+ are a must for her, where they have boundaries. She loves being outside on a walk and doesn't pull at all! She knows sit, shake and stay, and is just a really well behaved lady. AND, bonus points, she is one clean lady! Her blankets are never misplaced, and she is so gentle with treats, and even eating off a fork if you're okay with that! We have found that she has some resource guarding when it comes to other dogs in the house so - she will need to be the only dog in the home. She would make the best couch companion and the softest cuddle bug! She absolutely adores people, and loves to say hi, or lean into them for some head pets!

If you would like to meet me, please visit our website and complete the pre-adoption application.  Once it has been processed then we can make a date to get together!

All dogs are spayed/neutered, heartworm tested (if over 2 years old), vaccinated, dewormed, flea and tick treated, microchipped and more before adoption. Our adoption policies include: Application, Vet Reference, Landlord approval & Criminal Background Check. We do not do same day adoptions. We request that you call for an appointment after your application has been approved to come and visit the dog of your choice. If you have a dog currently, you should bring him/her along to meet the new dog so we can see how everyone interacts.  Please visit our website for additional information.
