Meet Fluffy — a sweet, gentle old soul looking for a soft place to land. At 9 years old, this handsome German Shepherd has perfected the art of being an easy, low maintenance companion. He’s great on a leash, walks beautifully by your side, and enjoys quiet time exploring the play yards at his own relaxed pace. Fluffy has a lower energy level and is happiest just hanging out near you...unless treats are involved! He’s very food motivated and proudly shows off his skills. He’ll sit, lay down, and shake on command, and if you’re taking too long to hand over the treat, he’ll politely offer his paw as a reminder! He welcomes any and all pets or affection, but belly rubs seem to be his favorite - he’ll roll right over to request them with zero hesitation.

Our kennel hours are Monday-Friday 10 am to 4 pm and Wednesday also from 5 pm to 7 pm. We are open Saturday from 11 am to 3 pm and closed on Sunday.

We are an open admission, municipal shelter serving the unincorporated area of Fort Bend County, TX.
We are the county's rabies control authority as well as being their animal shelter. On average, we take in approximately 4,000-5,000 pets per year.
The staff at FBCAS is small but each and every one of us is dedicated to making the stay of the pets in our care as comfortable as possible. Our hearts are in this and with every pet that crosses our threshold.
We are part of the amazing Fort Bend County community and we are always striving to work with our community people and partners to make our shelter the best it can be.
We can always use new volunteers to help us keep our pets happy and healthy while they wait for their forever home.
