If you see pets listed by a private owner, it means that they’re adoptable through Adopt a Pet’s Rehome program – the safe and reliable way to find a loving new home for your pet.
Chaya is a purebred female Shiba Inu, 6 years old, born June 26, 2019. She was purchased from Mas Little Paws in Arkansas. She is up to date on all vaccines and comprehensives as of September 2025. Chaya is an excellent watchdog for a small dog. Chaya was trained at Meadowlake Pet in Pearland, primarily as she has anxiety due to a large wall art piece falling that scared her when she was still a very young puppy. Chaya was not injured at all but she jumped the high gate out of fear. Chaya is a very loving dog. Chaya has been socialized with other dogs at Shiba Meetups & dog parks. It is important that she is re-homed to a home that is familiar with the Shiba Inu breed. Shiba Inus are very cat like. Shiba inus are natural hunters and should at all times be on a leash if not inside and in a securely gated yard. This is very important information for anyone seriously interested in having a Shiba Inu. It is also very important that Chaya is rehome to a caring and loving person.
