My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet sweet and lovable Zoe. She is a gem and a sweetheart who loves to give you hugs, loves cuddle time, loves belly rubs and always wants to be by her people. Zoe loves her chew toys, balls, fetch and especially any toys that make squeaky noises.

Zoe is crate trained and does well and sleeps soundly until the morning. Potty training is coming along and Zoe’s does well on the leash.

Zoe currently is with her foster family, and has two furry doggo friends to spend time with, and doing very well. She has a lot of puppy energy. Zoe enjoys fetch, anything with a squeaker, chew bones and all sorts of fun toys. Zoe especially loves going for car rides, and does very well.

She is very smart, eager to learn and is very treat motivated. Zoe would benefit by having additional training. Her foster parents are working with her on jumping as she loves to jump and give love. She is on her way to learning come, stay and paw. Zoe thrives on praise and positive reinforcement, always watching her foster parents for cues.

Zoe loves to explore in the yard and would thrive in a home that has a fenced yard and would do well and shine in a home that will help her keep learning/training as she grows. She would benefit in her confidence and companionship with another furry doggo in the home.

As Zoe is still young, with patience, love and guidance she will blossom into the perfect lifelong companion. Zoe has met kids of all ages, but would do better with older children.

Zoe loves to go on trips to the pet store or Home Depot and greets everyone with her tail wagging and lots of kisses. If you are looking for a loving, loyal, sweet and trainable puppy to join your family – please submit an application to meet Zoe.

This is a Pay It Forward dog. This means the adoption donation of $850 will help to save another pup needing rescue and vetting. If you are interested in this dog, please complete an adoption application.

More about this rescue

We are in need of Foster Homes for our homeless animals!!! Can you help?

What is a Foster Home?
A foster home takes in one of our homeless animals rather than boarding them at the kennel and cares for it until we find a permanent loving home. Almost Home Foundation pays for the all animal's food and medical expenses. The foster home learns the animal's temperament and behaviors. The foster home learns if they get along with other animals. The foster home provides insights on the animals that helps Almost Home Foundation look for the right home for the animal.

Please help!! Just fill out this form and we will contact you or call 630-582-3738 and leave a message letting us know that you are interested in fostering!

We are an all-volunteer, registered, not-for-profit 501c3 animal rescue group. Our mission is to save adoptable dogs and cats from being destroyed by finding permanent, loving homes. For details, visit us online at www.almosthomefoundation.org.

Almost Home Foundation is always looking for volunteers to handle dogs at adoption shows, set up adoption shows, write for the newsletter, photograph events, or foster animals. For a list of opportunities, visit online at www.volunteermatch.org
or www.almosthomefoundation.org.

---------------------------------------------------------------------------
We are a Rescue not a Shelter. This simply means we do not own a building where we house animals. We look for loving foster homes that will give temporary care and love on the animal’s journey to a permanent, loving home. When a foster home is not available, we will board the animal at a boarding kennel.

Our 5-year goal is to have a shelter. This is an aggressive goal that will take many donations and memberships. We will strive for this goal with a great team of volunteers and help from people like you! Please become a member, become a sponsor or make a donation.

Our animals are found strayed and brought in from the police. After being held for 7 days, we evaluate the temperament of the animal and determine if the animal is suitable to be a pet. On rare occasion, we will also rescue animals that are in desperate situations where the rescue makes the difference between life and death. We do not accept Owner Give-ups.
