My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Spenser is currently in boarding and needs a foster or adopter so that we can learn more about him.  He would do best in a home with no other animals and a large fenced yard to “zoom” around.  He is approximately 49 lbs.

At 1 year old, he has a lot of energy but we have training lined up for him if we can find someone to commit to fostering him and working on new skills with him and his trainer while he's in foster care.

We don’t want Spencer to fall by the wayside! We know he’s a good boy.

If you have time to learn about and love on Spencer, please complete an application at lastdaydogs.com

Their adoption process

Additional adoption info

All dogs are fully vetted, have age appropriate core vaccinations, and have been spayed/neutered and microchiped. 100% of the adoption fees go back to helping us rescue more dogs.

Our adoption process consists of an application, phone or face to face interview, home visit and reference checks. If you are approved to adopt from Tails of the Unwanted, you will be required to sign an adoption contract.

Go meet their pets

Our dogs are placed in foster homes around North Carolina and currently in the Concord, Charlotte, Greensboro, Winston Salem, High Point and Salisbury areas. We want our dogs to be placed in a loving and caring home and will arrange meet and greets with approved adopters.

More about this rescue

We are a rescue that networks and promote shelter dogs at risk of being euthanized at high kill shelters. If no one comes to their rescue, we step in. We are always looking for fosters and donations as well as volunteers so that we can continue to save the dogs who have run out of time at the high kill shelters.
