Meet Dahlia, a 1.5-year-old fawn beauty who defines the term “lap pug.” This gentle sweetheart is a total Velcro companion who wants nothing more than to be by your side, or better yet, in your lap! A little shy when first meeting new people, Dahlia quickly blossoms into a loyal, affectionate cuddle bug once she feels safe. She’s about 90% house-trained and getting better every day. Dahlia is crate-trained but doesn’t enjoy being crated (she’ll let you know!) and prefers to sleep in bed with her foster mom. She is polite at mealtime, loves carrying toys around in her mouth, and does fine sharing with other dogs—as long as they don’t try to steal them from her. Dahlia would thrive in a calm home with adults or older kids and plenty of love to go around. If you’re looking for a sweet, snuggly companion with a tender heart, Dahlia might be your perfect match!
