My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet Bailey — a sweet, gentle tabby in urgent need of a home!

Bailey lived happily indoors her whole life until her owner moved away and left her behind. Thankfully, we knew her from before (we used to pet sit for her!), and when she turned up at a neighbor’s door a week later, we stepped in to help.

Bailey is 6 years old, spayed, litterbox trained, and already treated for fleas. She’s healthy, calm, and incredibly affectionate — especially when greeting you after you’ve been away. Her favorite things include curling up beside you and carrying her little mouse toys around the house.

She’s done well living with another cat and with children in the past and will adjust beautifully with a little time and patience.

If you or someone you know can give this sweetheart the second chance she deserves, please visit hsdavie.org/cats and apply to adopt today — Bailey’s waiting to be loved again. ❤️

The Humane Society of Davie County is a non-profit 501c3 group seeking to make a difference in the lives of animals in Davie County and surrounding areas. The Humane Society obtained tax-exempt status in late 1998 and since then has endeavored to improve conditions for animals at the local animal shelter, raise awareness in the community about the need of spay/neuter of animals, and place numerous previously unwanted animals into loving homes. The Humane Society’s long-term goal is to eliminate the overpopulation of dogs and cats in Davie County.
