Meet Mimi
Mimi is a stunning 5-year-old tortoiseshell beauty with a truly wild and interesting coat to match her thoughtful personality. Weighing about 10 pounds, she’s a gentle, quiet soul who lost the only home she had ever known, through no fault of her own.
The shelter environment was overwhelming for Mimi, but once she moved into a foster home, she began to blossom. With patience and consistency, she’s learning that the world can be a safe and kind place again. Every day, her confidence grows a little more.
Mimi now happily comes out of her cozy corner to hang out, explore, and play. She’s showing genuine interest in being petted and brushed (which she loves), and her appetite and enthusiasm for food have improved nicely. One of her sweetest gestures of trust is a gentle nose boop - her special way of letting you know she approves of you.
She’s a companion cat rather than a lap cat. Mimi seeks attention, enjoys being near her people, and loves calm interaction, but she also needs her boundaries respected. She prefers no paws being touched and does not want to be picked up, at least not yet. In return, she offers affection on her own terms: pets, massages, brushing sessions, and quiet companionship.
Mimi enjoys short bursts of energetic, interactive play—feather wand toys and laser chases are favorites. She’s inquisitive and loves to observe household activity, often exploring when things feel calm and predictable.
She shows interest in other cats in the home, though she tends to keep things polite and observational rather than social.
Mimi is best suited for a patient, understanding home that will let her continue to build trust at her own pace. She doesn’t need constant attention, just a respectful, loving environment where she can feel safe and valued.
If you’re looking for a gentle, soulful companion who will reward your patience with quiet affection and meaningful moments of connection, Mimi may be your perfect match.
