A Little Bit About Me

Tuna (previously Luna) is a confident, friendly girl! This beautiful, young cat loves people and enjoys head rubs. She is not only outgoing and social, but also playful and affectionate. Tuna knows how to carry on a conversation and is very personable. Break out the wand toy and she's ready to have a ball! Sometimes she even purrs through the play session! She loves to hang out with people, but she did not do well with the young children in her previous home, nor has she been crazy about other cats at the shelter. If you are ready for loads of fun and love, Tuna has a lot to give!

More about this rescue

We are a group of people dedicated to rescuing dogs from crisis situations, some of which include euthanasia by animal shelters, neglect and other forms of abuse, or "free to a good home" ads, which result in dogs being bounced from one home to another, or being acquired by animal brokers ("bunchers") and sold to research laboratories where they are used for testing then discarded ("cruelty industries").

NBCR&P works primarily with 5 herding breeds, and herding breed mixes. On occasion, NBCR&P also rescues and places other breeds. We foster our dogs in a home environment, rather than a kennel, if at all possible. We take pride in our promise that at any time and for any reason in the dog's life, if the need arises, he or she has a safe place with us ("return to rescue" policy).
