Mulligan is a one year old hound mix with a heart full of love and a personality that strikes the perfect balance between playful and relaxed. He enjoys his playtime with toys and chew bones, but he is just as happy settling down for quiet moments and snuggling close to his people. Mulligan loves to shadow his humans and feels most comfortable when he knows you are nearby.
Mulligan has begun working on his house training and kennel training, but still has a little bit of a ways to go. He is smart and eager to learn, already mastering “sit” and continuing to pick up new skills quickly. He responds well to gentle correction and shows how clever and adaptable he can be.
Mulligan does great with other animals. He is submissive, sweet, and respectful with dogs, and he is good with cats, showing curiosity at first but mostly choosing to ignore them. He walks well on a leash, though he can be nervous around cars, so a slip leash is recommended to help him feel secure and prevent slipping out of a collar.
While Mulligan is generally quiet at night, he can be vocal if kenneled during the day. He prefers not to be left alone for long periods and does best in a home where he can have companionship and reassurance, as he may have a bit of separation anxiety. He also prefers being outside only when his people are with him.
Mulligan is neutered, up to date on his care, and ready to find a loving home where he can continue to thrive. If you are looking for a sweet, loyal, and affectionate companion who will happily follow you wherever you go, Mulligan may be the perfect match for you.
Mulligan is currently in foster care outside of the shelter. If you are interested in learning more or meeting him, please complete an adoption survey using the link below (copy and paste the link into your browser):
All dogs and cats will be spayed or neutered, up to date on age-appropriate vaccinations, provided with preventative care, and microchipped.
