My personality

My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

This precious little girl was found in a extremely dangerous situation. I had seen a post about a dog running on the side of a busy four lane. In the pics I thought that she looked like a medium sized pup, maybe 30 lb. Regardless of her size, she needed help & she needed it fast. I had a quick conversation with the man above and said ,"If you need my help, you need to let me spot her on way to town today". Sure enough there she was, I spotted her immediately. This baby was so tiny and very pregnant. For several days I worked on building our relationship. I had learned her routine and found her safe place where I fed her daily. The following morning I set a trap and crossed my fingers and toes. Against all odds ,I got her within an hour & this little girl was exhausted and appeared so relieved. A few weeks later on Easter eve, CoCo Bunny gave birth to four adorable little nuggets "the bunny boys". She is such a special soul, excellent mommy and though she is learning to trust, she will LOVE you like you hung the moon. Her only quirk is that she wants to be with you 24/7. I personally think its because she doesn't want to be left behind ever again. I'm not going to label her "special needs" because her needs are really basic. It's about finding her person, that one needle in the haystack that loves as intensely as Coco does and will give her the attention that she deserves & craves.

Their adoption process

Additional adoption info

All adopters must complete an adoption application. Home and reference checks are required. Many of the doggies will require a fenced yard, and if this is the case, a fence check is ALWAYS completed. If the application is approved, there is a contract explaining the expectations required of you as an adoptive parent. Wet Noses and Wagging Tails selects the family we feel will be the best fit for our pets. This helps to ensure our animals and families will be happy together! If your application is not approved, or approved and not selected for the animal you're interested in, please understand. We know the personalities and habits of each of our rescue pets, and they all have certain needs. We sometimes have other pets we will suggest, that may be a better fit. Our number one priority is to assure the safety, happiness and overall welfare for these homeless souls. There will be a fee for each adoption. These donations go directly back into the rescue to help offset the expenses we incur taking saving the animals. We also offer a sponsorship program that allows a healthy dog, upon adoption, to help one of his/her furry friends that has special needs or chronic illness. For more information about this program, just
ask!

Go meet their pets

More about this rescue

We are the voice for the innocent dogs and cats who are in need of our assistance. Many of the animals have been abused/neglected. Many have owners who simply "dump" them. Many are found roaming the streets, and we don't ever know what their stories really are. We are not for profit and STRICTLY no-kill. Much of our energy is dedicated to special needs animals, those who are crippled, injured,or suffering from various illnesses. However, our goal is to help ANY animal in need. We have been saving lives for 13+ years. Wet Noses and Wagging Tails is truly all about the animals. Thanks to our wonderful fosters and our constant networking, we are able to get the animals to safety, and ultimately to loving homes where they go on to live the lives they should have been living all along!
