My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

hi Weems,

this good girl is an approx. 5 year old Cavapoo. She was surrendered to our care with several other dogs from a commercial breeder in Lancaster when she got too old to keep breeding. She is around 16 lbs.

Weems is a total cuddle bug. From the moment she came to the rescue, she has been the sweetest with our volunteers. She is a social and affectional pup that will bring lots of love and smiles to her future family.

Weems was adopted shortly and returned when the adopter's boyfriend said she tried snapping at him. He was rubbing her belly and she was clearly uncomfortable and let him know about it. There was no skin contact and no bite - Weems did just let him know that it was too early for belly rubs.

Since being back with us at the rescue, she has been sweet and friendly with our volunteers.

She will come spayed, vaccinated, microchipped and 4dx tested. She is also scheduled for a dental evaluation and will receive as the vet deems necessary,

She would need to meet any resident dogs.

Our volunteer will work on approval which includes landlord / vet / personal references and a conversation with the applicant

Meet the Pet

After approval, we will set an appointment with the pet you chose or for open meets with pets that fit the criteria

Sign Adoption Contract

If you love the dog, you will sign the adoption paperwork, pay the adoption fee and the pup is yours!

We do not have open hours for the public and all meets are done on an appointment basis for approved applicants.
