My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Jasper is a handsome 10 year old Chihuahua mix who is looking for a loving forever home to live out his golden day. Jasper is a shy guy with new people, but is very friendly and attentive with those he loves. Jasper is good with other small dogs and would be happy to meet a gentle canine companion, but would be thrilled to be the center of attention. Jasper loves the affection of his people and gets jealous having to share their affections. Jasper has not lived with kids and we recommend a home with only mature teens and adults. Jasper is a petite guy who will loyally follow his people everywhere they go! He is partially house trained, but will need patience and continued training to learn and adjust in his new home. Jasper weighs in at only 5 pounds full grown.  He is neutered, up to date on vaccines, microchipped  and vet checked. His adoption fee of $240 includes a free vet visit. To potentially adopt him come to our shelter location at 1102 W Hatcher Rd in Phoenix 85021, open Tuesday to Sunday 11am to 6pm. --Covid update: To adhere to CDC guidelines, we are open for adoptions only at a max capacity of 15 people in the building at a time. Masks/face coverings are required. For the safety of our staff and customers, we ask that you practice social distancing, sanitization, and if exposed to Covid-19 or sick to please stay home.--

More about this shelter

Arizona Small Dog Rescue is a non profit registered 501(c)3 no kill rescue shelter. We are a group of volunteers who have dedicated our lives to rescuing and saving homeless, unwanted, abandoned, neglected, and abused small dogs. We save most of our animals from kill shelters around the valley, but also accept owner surrenders and stray surrenders. Owner surrender fee’s vary depending on space and availability. We spay/neuter, vaccinate, medically examine, microchip, and evaluate and/or socialize all dogs that come into our rescue before placing up for adoption to pre-screened homes. We rescue many dogs every week and always have a wide variety of personalities and breeds available who would be a perfect fit for any family and any home.
