My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Hello. My name is Frog.
I am an affectionate, playful female kitten,
and I am looking for a forever home!
I think I am about 7-8 months old. I am a bit shy, so you will need to give me some
space during the first few days. But, once I come around, I will sit by you or on you for
company and cuddles, which I absolutely love.
I have been in foster care for a few months, because I was not feeling well. My foster
parents brought me to health with their love and care. I have a sensitive stomach; the
vets think I might need to be on a special diet for a long time, possibly my whole life.
I have had two bigger brothers in my foster home. I get along with them, but I prefer to
be the queen of the house!

More about this shelter

The City of Albuquerque Animal Welfare Department’s mission is to protect and serve the pets and people of Albuquerque by providing Caregiving, Awareness, Resources, Enforcement and Service excellence.

AWD is always in need of foster homes for our pets who need time to grow, recovery from illness or injury or in need of a break from the shelter. Foster homes increase our capacity to provide services to homeless pets in our community. If you would like to donate toys, towels and milk-bones are always in need. Volunteer opportunities are also available at our shelters.
