My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Precious, Affectionate, Independent

If you’re a foodie who enjoys watching TV, you already have a lot in common with Castiel! This gorgeous tortie girl loves her food and her programs (aka cat TV channels featuring squirrels and birds).

Castiel is most vocal when she’s hungry, meowing next to her food bowl hoping you’ll take the hint and fill it with her favorite meal (anything fishy is her favorite). Otherwise, she only really meows to greet you when you come home, or if she’s locked behind any closed doors as she believes in an open door policy.

Castiel loves people but is more independent than she is overly affectionate. She loves being around people and likes to lay next to her foster in bed or on the couch, and when she’s in a certain mood, turns into a huge cuddlebug! If she’s feeling cuddly, Castiel will plop herself on top of you, nuzzling her head against you hoping for some pets - she loves being petted!

Castiel may not show this affectionate side right away though (she needs a little time to learn to trust new people), so she would do best in a home with patient people who can respect her need to take her time to get comfortable.

Castiel isn’t super high energy, but every now and then the zoomies will hit her and she’ll want to play with strings, mouse toys, or your hands and feet under the blanket. She seems to be most active at night though.

Castiel would be happiest in a home where she can get some good cuddle time with her people but also be left to her own agenda sometimes. If you’re looking for an adorable kitty who just wants to be near you, Castiel is the sweetest easygoing girl!

All APA! cats are fully vetted, spayed or neutered, and have updated vaccines and a microchip. Lifetime support is offered by our Cat Behavior Team.
