Boone is now looking for a forever home. He was dumped at the cemetery and had been out for several months. The tip of one if his ears has been eaten away by flies, he was starving, and very skittish. He's still gaining weight and I think he will be a very big boy. He's very shy for about a day and a half. In his shy phase, he will be the best behaved dog you've ever seen. Once he gets comfortable, he becomes a very happy puppy and those puppy behaviors start to come out. He'll need basic puppy training; he jumps, chews on absolutely everything, but he's so so willing to please. His chewing is easily redirected to a toy, he just needs to be watched. He's good in the kennel, has had tremendous improvement on the leash, he's great with other dogs (super super submissive), likes cats, loooooves kids (but keep in mind that he is jumpy and in his chewing phase), and doesn't chase farm animals. The only animal he's shown any sort of prey drive for is my rabbits. So if you have rabbits, this probably isn't your guy. His chewing reduces significantly with a daily walk and he'd be a great dog for an active person. We have had him for over a week and he's only had an accident in the house twice and I feel pretty confident it was just a smell thing since both times were in spots that my dogs have had accidents before.
