My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Butternut is a cautious young gal looking for a home with a family who will give her time and space to settle in. She spent about a month and a half in a foster home- here’s what we learned:

- She’s a quiet houseguest but will bark her happiness in anticipation of dinner
- She did well with other resident dogs
- She is non- destructive and well- behaved when left home alone
- She is house trained
- She likes to catch treats in the air, enjoys snuffle mats and is curious and playful

Here’s what one of Butternut’s volunteer advocates said:

“I worked with Butternut this morning. She has made clear progress. Walks well but a little slowly. She was willing to approach for treats held in my fingers and with some work I was able to establish touch and get some scratches in. Good walk back and easy unleash.”

Butternut shares her kennel with another PACC pup and would likely do best with a confident furry friend to help her adjust in her future home. When meeting other dogs in playgroup she’s been social, tolerant and easygoing. Please ask about Butternut today!
