This 1-year-old Boxer mix is growing up at the shelter, and while she’s doing her best, kennel life is starting to wear on her. She sometimes has a lot to say when you pass by her kennel, but that`s just because she’s ready to get out, stretch her legs, and have fun!
Once she is outside of the kennels you`ll see a total transformation.
Outside, Starstruck is happy, goofy, playful, and full of personality. She turns walks into mini adventures and has one non-negotiable rule: Every walk must include a stick. She loves to find them, and then proudly carry it with her like it is her most prized possession!
Starstruck is young, fun, and affectionate. She is dog-friendly and would love a doggie sibling that matches her high-energy style of play. She will do well with older, dog-savvy kids, and would love a fenced yard to run & play in too.
She’s the kind of dog who needs a break from kennel life to truly shine, and a home where she can trade concrete floors for couches and daily playtime.

All potential adopters must be at least 21 years of age.
An application must be completed and can take up to a week to process. Once an application is approved, family meets, dog meets (if applicable) and home checks must be completed.

Our orphanage is open to the public Monday-Friday from 12pm to 7pm, with the exception of the second Wednesday of each month during which we are closed for major cleaning.
On weekends you can visit our orphans between 12pm and 5pm Saturday and Sunday. We also have some adorable adoptable cats and kittens at offsite locations: PetSmart in Marlton and PetValu stores of Cherry Hill, Marlton and Voorhees.

The Animal Orphanage of Voorhees is a loving place that welcomes 2,000 homeless pets each year. Our shelter is open intake, which means our doors are open to dogs and cats of any age, medical condition or breed. We are a no-kill facility and do not euthanize for space.
We are a non-profit organization and depend on donations and volunteers to keep our shelter doors open.
