My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet Marlo!

Birthday: 12/14/2024 | Weight: 6 pounds | Health: Healthy, vaccinated, fixed

Marlo is a little bundle of sunshine wrapped in white fluff! This Maltese boy is as sweet as he is gentle — he loves soft cuddles, playtime, and following his favorite human from room to room with his tail wagging happily. He’s the kind of dog who wants to be part of your day, whether it’s a walk, a car ride, or a cozy evening on the couch.

Breed Info:
Maltese are affectionate, intelligent, and loyal companions who thrive on human connection. Their soft coats and gentle nature make them wonderful family dogs and devoted friends.

Things to Consider Before Adopting:

Before adopting, take time to make sure you’re ready for the lifelong commitment that comes with welcoming a dog into your home. Dogs rely on us completely — for love, structure, and care. Please consider:

  • Time & Routine: Do you have the time every day for walks, play, training, feeding, and cuddles? Dogs thrive on consistent routines and attention.

  • Housing: If you rent, confirm your landlord or property allows pets. Check for breed, weight, or number restrictions before adopting.

  • Finances: Dogs come with ongoing costs — food, grooming, vet care, flea prevention, toys, and emergencies. Make sure your budget can handle it.

  • Lifestyle Changes: Are you planning to move, travel often, or have major life changes soon? Dogs need long-term stability and a forever home.

  • Patience & Training: Every dog — even adult ones — needs time to adjust, learn, and build trust. Training and patience make all the difference.

  • Commitment for Life: A dog is not a temporary companion. It’s a 10–15 year promise of love, safety, and care — through every stage of their life. Adopting Marlo means promising him love, safety, and care every single day. He’ll give that love back tenfold.

Vet Care:
Even though Marlo is healthy, it’s important to get to your own vet as soon as possible for a wellness check and to establish ongoing care.

3-3-3 Rule:
The first 3 days are for decompressing — everything is new, so give him space and reassurance. The first 3 weeks are when he’ll start learning your home, your schedule, and your heart. The first 3 months are when trust blooms, and he’ll know he’s truly home.

Why Marlo Will Be a Great Addition:
Marlo is soft, sweet, and full of love. His calm energy and affectionate nature will bring peace, laughter, and joy to your heart and home.
