My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet China M!

Birthday: 10/12/2022 | Weight: 9 pounds | Health: Healthy, vaccinated, fixed

Graceful, gentle, and full of love — that’s China. This beautiful Maltese girl has a calm spirit and a loving nature that makes her a comforting presence wherever she goes. She enjoys soft blankets, belly rubs, and peaceful naps near her favorite people. China has a way of making a house feel like a home.

Breed Info:
Maltese are affectionate and intelligent companions who thrive on closeness. Their gentle temperament makes them perfect for families, seniors, or anyone who wants a loyal friend by their side.

Things to Consider Before Adopting:

Before adopting, take time to make sure you’re ready for the lifelong commitment that comes with welcoming a dog into your home. Dogs rely on us completely — for love, structure, and care. Please consider:

  • Time & Routine: Do you have the time every day for walks, play, training, feeding, and cuddles? Dogs thrive on consistent routines and attention.

  • Housing: If you rent, confirm your landlord or property allows pets. Check for breed, weight, or number restrictions before adopting.

  • Finances: Dogs come with ongoing costs — food, grooming, vet care, flea prevention, toys, and emergencies. Make sure your budget can handle it.

  • Lifestyle Changes: Are you planning to move, travel often, or have major life changes soon? Dogs need long-term stability and a forever home.

  • Patience & Training: Every dog — even adult ones — needs time to adjust, learn, and build trust. Training and patience make all the difference.

  • Commitment for Life: A dog is not a temporary companion. It’s a 10–15 year promise of love, safety, and care — through every stage of their life. Adopting China means welcoming her into your family forever — through all her years of love and devotion.

Vet Care:
Even though China is healthy, it’s important to get to your own vet as soon as possible for an initial checkup and to keep her preventive care up to date.

3-3-3 Rule:

The first 3 days are for decompressing — everything is new, so give China space, comfort, and reassurance.
The first 3 weeks are when she’ll start learning your home, your schedule, and your heart.
The first 3 months are when trust blooms, and she’ll finally know she’s truly home.

Why China Will Be a Great Addition:
With her tender heart and calming presence, China will fill your life with sweetness, love, and a sense of peaceful companionship that only a rescue dog can give.
