Truman loves to play and take walks. He loves to run around and play outside so a fenced in yard would be great. Toys are the best thing ever but cuddling is at the top on his list of favorites. He is a very large lap dog. Truman is a great cuddle baby during Tv time and bedtime. He really is an amazing boy and would love to have a forever home with his forever family that will love him as much as he will love them.

Vetting: neutered, up-to-date on vaccines, heartworm negative and on prevention

To ensure we're meeting both pet and adopters' needs, we ask potential adopters to complete an Adoption Application (www.bit.ly/DH-Adoption) for caretakers to review. Once your application is approved, we will bring the adoptable pet to your home for a preliminary visit.
We are 100% donation-funded and our fees are equivalent to (or less than) the cost to fully vet a new dog yourself. Please expect an adoption fee of $300; some of our urgent or long-term dogs have discounted fees.

After reviewing your application, we'll contact you to determine if dog is a good fit for your lifestyle and home.
Approve Application
We check vet and personal references to ensure previous dogs were well cared for, so please be thorough in providing this info.
Home Check
This enables the dog to get to know you and your home and for us to suggest anything they may need to be successful in your home.
Sign Adoption Contract
You would also pay the fee at this time, however, we offer a 2 week trial period before cashing your check. We will always take dogs back.
