Several dignified names—among them, Francis, Francesco, and Franklin—share a short and strong diminutive: Frank, a word meaning open, honest, and direct. Statistically, New Jersey is the state where you’re most likely to meet someone named Frank. (About 542 out of every 100,000 New Jerseyans is a Frank.) And since Tabby’s Place lies in the center of the Garden State, of course you’ll find a feline Frank in our menagerie.
He’s a handsome brown tabby who arrived with his housemate Sandy when their owner could unfortunately no longer care for them. Frank’s life had turned upside down, and this sturdy but softhearted tomcat has responded the only way he knows how: by curling up in a nest of blankets and hiding. In this new environment (loving, but nonetheless scary), Frank isn’t quite sure how to be frank about his feelings. But with patience and kindness, he will come out of his shell and show unguarded affection once he trusts you. Stroke Frank’s nose and trace a path up to the top of his head, and you’ll be rewarded with thunderous purrs.
He may not have baby blues like Sinatra, but Frank’s soulful eyes tell just how much he longs for a forever home. Frank is young and healthy and frankly, all he needs is a new start—ideally with a caring human who’ll love him just as openly as he loves in return. Frank would be happy to be a solo cat or to live with other easygoing kitties.

For an adoption fee of $150, you will take home a cat that has received the very best medical care and evaluation. Every cat that leaves Tabby’s Place has been thoroughly examined by a veterinarian, spayed/neutered, vaccinated, microchipped, tested for FeLV and FIV, and treated for parasites.
We are currently offering two methods of adoption meetings:
