Meet Toy, a petite 11-pound female chihuahua with a heart full of potential and a story of resilience. At just two years old, Toy has already experienced more than most dogs do in a lifetime. Rescued from a horrific hoarding situation, she is now seeking a patient adopter or foster who can provide her with the loving environment she deserves.
Personality and Temperament
Toy is naturally shy and can be a bit hesitant around new people. However, with time, patience, and love, she blossoms into an affectionate companion. Once she warms up to you, Toy reveals her sweet nature and is eager to share her affection. She is also quite intelligent and has a penchant for treats, making training an enjoyable experience for both her and her human companions.
Health and Wellness
Toy is in excellent health. She has been spayed and is up-to-date on all her vaccinations. She is heartworm negative and has received the ProHeart 12 injection, which will protect her from heartworms for the next 12 months. Additionally, Toy is microchipped and on monthly preventatives to ensure she stays happy and healthy.
Ideal Home Environment
Due to her shy nature and past experiences, Toy would thrive in a calm home without small children. She needs an environment where she can feel safe and secure as she learns to trust humans again. While she may be reserved around people at first, Toy is dog-friendly and would enjoy the company of other canine friends who can help her build confidence.
Adoption or Fostering Opportunity
Toy is looking for a special person or family who can provide her with the patience and understanding she needs to flourish. If you're someone who can offer a loving home to this deserving little dog, Toy will reward you with unwavering loyalty and affection. Are you ready to make a difference in Toy's life and help her continue her journey toward trust and happiness? If so, she is waiting to meet you and start a new chapter filled with love and companionship.
