My personality

My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet Jazzy: Your Potential New Best Friend
Jazzy is a charming, 2-year-old Chihuahua who weighs just 11 pounds. She has emerged from a difficult background, coming from a bad hoarding case, but she is a resilient little dog who is ready to turn the page and start a new chapter in her life. Despite arriving in poor condition, Jazzy has shown incredible potential and is looking for a loving adopter or foster who can offer her the patience and care she needs to thrive.
A Shy but Affectionate Companion
Initially, Jazzy may seem shy, but with time and gentle encouragement, she blossoms into an affectionate and loving companion. Her shy nature means she will need someone who understands her pace and can provide her with a calm and nurturing environment. Once she warms up to you, her sweet and loyal nature shines through, making her a delightful presence in any home.
Health and Safety
Jazzy has been spayed and is up-to-date on all her vaccines. She is also microchipped for safety and has tested negative for heartworms. To ensure her continued well-being, Jazzy is protected with ProHeart 12, which guards her against heartworms for 12 months.
Ideal Home Environment
Given her past and her timid disposition, Jazzy would do best in a home without small children. Their unpredictable nature could be overwhelming for her. However, she is dog-friendly, so a home with other canine companions could be an excellent fit, providing her with social interaction and friendship.
Adoption or Foster Opportunity
Jazzy is available for adoption or foster care. She is a smart little dog who is eager to learn and adapt to her surroundings. If you think you can offer Jazzy the loving and patient home she deserves, she might just be the perfect addition to your family.
Consider opening your heart and home to Jazzy, and discover the joy of watching this sweet, resilient Chihuahua flourish.

More about this rescue

BMAR is a No-Kill facility: a place of safety for healthy adoptable animals, a home for the homeless, a haven for the mistreated, neglected, or abused animals of Sabine & surrounding counties. BMAR also runs a sanctuary for those deemed unadoptible due to medical and behavior issues.

100% Volunteer Rescue. We have no animal control, Humane Society, or SPCA operating in our area leaving animals in dire straights.

BMAR is dedicated to the prevention of cruelty & abuse to all animals & livestock.

We currently only adopt to states and Canada where we have a network in place to monitor animals and help with problems.

BMAR backs it's dogs for life and will take back no matter how long and at any time if circumstance arise and you cannot keep your pet.
