My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Motor is beautiful handsome cat with long hair tail. He is still on progress, adjusting new life with human around. But I see he likes being pet, or around human or cat. As soon as I pet him, he starts purring:-) It's been two weeks to have him my apt with my cat. I see he like to watch my cat does. Specially having food/treats from my hand. When I give him first, he doesn't take it, but when he sees that my cat have a treat from my hand, Motor takes it right after! It happened specially in the beginning. (Now he takes it from my hand without looking at him)
He still like to keep some distance from me most of time, but he seems like to follow me (with distance) and watch what I do or being around. Very surprisedly he jumped on my bed, and slept between my leg last night!
He is chatty boy, smart, sweet, loves to play and eat! He is not picky for food, he loves to eat. To me, he is like a little ninja compare to my cat. I don't hear his foot steps. Pls watch out to leave yummy food behind you.. another surprise, he likes dried small fish. ( It's for pet from Japan. but seems like not many cats here likes it...lol)
Even though now he still seems fearful, but I think he will open up and become lovely sweet boy!
He love to play, specially flying toys like feather, ribbon or anything. He seems like to pull the cat glass out from the pot. He did it 5 days in a roll..
One things, he is not aggressive but he sometimes try give you one bite, or scratch (because he has long sharp nail now we get caught easily) after petting. so you may want to keep attention his move. It happens in the begging more often, but now less and less to happen. So once he is more comfortable, it may not happen though.
I'm hoping he will find forever family who are patient, but wants to work hard to get his trust, and give him much love!

A volunteer writes: Motor was brought to us from a home with many other cats who lost their home when their guardian passed away. He probably hasn't had many opportunities to meet new people, and while I don't think he was necessarily expecting change to be easy, I don't think he was expecting a parade of people cycling through all trying to impress him with toys and treats. I'll admit that while we welcome a little selectiveness, we sighed in relief when Motor found something in the collection he liked. In fact, he likes it so much that he rarely sees a reason to leave. A big and beloved comfy box with sides just high enough that he can pretend we're not there is what caught and kept his eye. Delightfully creative and committed to it, he lowers his head as he flattens his little ears, snuggles in, and waits for me to go. We know Motor's trying not to make any waves, but he wants to know if you have any space in your home and heart for his box and him.
